KP Oli & Deuba Trying to Influence MOE MBBS Question Paper Leak Investigation

Senior politicians: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress’ Sher Bahadur Deuba,
is found to be pressurizing CIAA team in the investigation case of MBBS Question paper leak scandal about 2 weeks ago. The question paper was leaked minutes before exam from Golden Gate International college exam center on Mangsir 20th, 2071.

The duos called Commissioner Keshav Baral and Acting Secretary Prem Kumar Rai asked them to release those arrested according to ekantipur online. The arrested persons were trusted men in their parties.

The so called "higher level" politicians are trying to bend the investigation process which could go to the root of the question paper selling gangs.According to sources, except for Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and UML leader Madhav Nepal almost all senior politicians are trying to influence the case and CIAA is working under extreme pressure.

Ramesh Silwal, the Chief Executive Officer and prime stakeholder of the Golden Gate college, is close to UML Chairman Oli and he has been meeting Oli after the CIAA took the lead off the scam in a raid on December 6.

The CIAA has arrested Khechar Sapkota, a former NSU leader, and Dr Prabhat Kumar Kushahawa into custody. Besides, the anti-graft body has put owners of eight other colleges--selected as MBBS entrance exam centre by the Ministry of Education--under close surveillance. They are restricted to  leave the country, can be arrested if call details and statements of the arrestees establish their involvement. A preliminary CIAA investigation suggests a widespread racket has been active in question paper leaks for the last ten years, selling the leaked papers to candidates between 1-2 million rupees.
